Schnidt Tonsil and Artery Forceps is a hemostatic agent used to cease bleeding from blood vessels or to hold tonsils. The “boettcher” style feature a light curve on the jaws in a 7 1/2″ or 14″ length with the option of closed ring-handles or one open ring-handle. The one open ring allows more maneuverability for the surgeon. Another aspect of this forceps is called the “sawtell,” which signifies a full curve on the jaws. This style also has the option of closed ring-handles or one open ring-handle in a 7 ½” overall length.

Precision-milled serrations are formed onto the tungsten carbide inserts, resulting in pyramid-shaped teeth that provide a non-slip grip. Pyramid-shaped teeth align perfectly with each other to provide a durable and reliable grasp of the most delicate or toughest tissues, as well as needles, sutures, dressing materials and delicate vessels. Smooth tungsten carbide inserts are also available for delicate procedures. Spring tension allows for surgeons to maintain proper and consistent position, ensuring optimal grip without having to apply excess force. These forceps feature gold-plated handles.
